Tanner Curtis is a National Photo Editor at The New York Times. Prior to joining The Times, he was an Associate Photo Editor at TIME focusing on domestic news, politics and sports for TIME.com. Tanner is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism and a minor in Women’s Studies. He has held internships at The Hartford (Conn.) Courant, The Kalamazoo (Mich.) Gazette and The (Fort Knox, Ky.) Leader. He’s a Kentucky native and fan of Wildcat basketball.
